Conveyor Fed Tub Dump

The tub dump briquetter system is the most common metal chip system in use today. It is composed of a centrally located chip processor that receives chip input from tubs transported to it from the machining area. These systems maybe used for shops that have small or large capacity requirements. As with the stand-alone system the briquetter requires the chips to be broken, free flowing and must not include tramp metal for the briquetter to operate satisfactorily. If the metal chips are not broken, free flowing or they contain tramp metal a shredder and parts separator must be incorporated. Commonly processed materials would be steel, brass, copper, aluminum, titanium, stainless steel and iron. Other metals would likely be a candidate for processing but should be tested prior to committing to specific designs.
