If a stand-alone briquetter is used the chips are dumped directly into the hopper of the briquetter. The chips are dumped either manually or by forklift.

If a conveyor fed tub dump briquetter system is used the first item would be a hydraulic pivot dumper, which dumps the chips into an inclined screw conveyor. A hydraulic pivot dumper handles all types of chips and is totally self-contained. The dumper is hydraulically operated and can be permanent or portable. A safety cage is included. Size of the dumper is determined by the size of the tub to be dumped and how quickly in succession the dumps will be made. When the dumper requires added height a hydraulic lift and pivot dumper is used. It has the same characteristics as the hydraulic pivot dumper.

If an infloor briquetter system is used the first item would be the infloor feed conveyor, usually a chip plow, which would feed an incline screw conveyor.
