Briquetters are not the only solution to process chips and remove coolant. There are various designs of centrifuges and centrifuge systems that will process chips and remove the coolant. The equipment needed to feed the briquetter is the same equipment required by a centrifuge system.

Chip processing is extremely application sensitive. The best solution for chip processing and coolant removal varies with individual requirements of each company. If very dry chips are required a centrifuge with a briquetter may be the best choice. If a percentage of moisture is not a problem a briquetter with out a centrifuge or a centrifuge with out a briquetter may be the best choice. Before purchasing a briquetter or centrifuge your scrap dealer needs to be consulted.
